That's about all that I can say about Winter Jam last Friday night! It was awesome! I haven't had that much fun in a while! Well, I guess I said a bit more than "wow" about it! :-)

The bands were as follows: Britt Nicole, a relative newcomer in the world of Christian music; Newsong, who hosted the event and were awesome!; Sanctus Real, another awesome group; some guy they called Andre the Hollywood Cowboy (he was ok. he didn't sing though. he just scared some guy by cutting styrofoam sticks with a whip); Hawk Nelson, they were wonderful!; John Morgan, a.k.a. Pres. Bush! (yes, there was a Bush impersonator. and he was so cool!); then came Steven Curtis Chapman, he was playing with two of his sons and two other brothers; then came Jeremy Camp!!!!!! And again, as I said before, IT WAS AWESOME!!!!

Ok, that's it.

Andrew

GRRRROOOOWWWWWLLL---COUGH, COUGH

Some of you know what I'm talking about.

For those of you who don't: guess what!!! I was in a play last week! and it was so much fun! The play was called Beauty Lou and the Country Beast. It was an adaptation of the original Beauty and the Beast. This version was geared a little bit more towards the younger crowd, like 6,7, and 8 year olds I would guess. But it was still fun to be in it!

As for the name of this post, for those who don't know, I was the beast in the play. I wore a very stinky, smelly (but almost cool-looking) mask that ended up rubbing my face raw (a fact I didn't discover until hot water from the shower hit the raw spots above my eyes. Yeah, that hurt.) and made me sweat more than a pro soccer player, and I also wore some even more stinky and smelly gorrilla gloves that were about 3 sizes too big. On top of all that, I wore a shirt that was about a size 3 or 4 XL, when I usually wear size large or medium, and a hat that was a bit too small. But it was still fun! I even got to jump off of the stage and scare the audience!

The play lasted only one week, so I miss it already. We did two shows on Saturday which were awesome!

Back to explaining the name of this post, being the Beast, I had to scare some people at different times. As you would expect, I wanted to give it my all! Unfortunately, when I did this, it caused me to lose my voice until today, Wednesday. This made me very sad and angry because it meant that I couldn't sing in church Sunday, and I also couldn't sing in choir practice on Monday. But things will be better next week!

Farewell for now!

Andrew

Happy New Year!!!!!!!

Hey guys and girls! I admit that I have acted like a fiend by not posting in over a month (or is that actually a favor to you guys?).

I just wanted to check up and see how everyone is doing. This post is going to be pretty boring. (But please don't stop reading!) I don't have a lot of time right now, so this post is also going to be pretty short. Soon I shall have a better post up. Now this isn't just any question, no, it is a questions for any and every girl that reads this blog. I don't mean that guys can't answer too, but it is mainly asked for girls. In fact, I would actually like for guys and girls to answer and give me their different opinions.

Now you might be wondering what this mysterious question is so I will tell you, er, that is, ask you.

What do girls and guys see as a gentleman? Meaning, what things that guys do do you (guys and girls) see as traits of a gentleman? My parents have tried to raise me as a gentleman, and frankly, seeing how some other guys act, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Finally, A New Post!

Hey guys! I finally got a chance to post! Or, rather, I finally took the time to post! I don't really have all that much to say in this post. I was just tired of seeing my spoiler warning post up! Soccer signup is in two days!!!!!! I can't wait! And I'm so sad because this will hopefully be my next to last season. Now, you might wonder why I am so sad but hopeful that this my next to last season. Well, next May, I will be trying out for Wallace State's soccer team!!! And because of my age, I could actually play fall of 2007 for West Jefferson. But if I make Wallace's team (which I hope to do!) then I can't play fall of 2007 for West Jefferson. So, I guess it all works out!

Well, I gotta run so I'll talk to you later!!!

Andrew

SPOILER WARNING!!!!!

Guess what guys!!! Whether you have seen it or not. Whether you like it or not.)first you see --------------------------------------------------------------- and then ------------ comes along and you have this big -------------------------, and THEN, there is this huge surprise when ----------------------------- back and --------------- happens and you meet -------------------- and then you get to see ------------------------ and then we come to the part that really defines the whole scene which is ----------------------- and then you have this ------------- which leads to ------------------------ and then Captain Jack goes and -------------------------- in response to which Will Turner ----------------------------- and then Elizabeth Swan goes off to ---------------------- and then ----------------- comes and --------------------------.

So there. It's Rated "ARRRR!"

OK, that was pretty stupid and pointless I'll admit it. And besides, this post has nothing to do with movies, pirates, the Caribbean, corny jokes, or movie ratings! What I really wanted to talk about was a couple of things that I 1st hate and 2nd just plain don't like.

The first thing is thin socks. I just hate thin socks. Now, if you know me you might know that I only wear the "No-Show" style socks except for when I'm wearing my basketball shoes and have to wear ankle socks because my basketball shoes, which are totally awesome looking by the way :-), will rub on the bottom of my legs and it really hurts and it has the potential to create blisters on my legs which are very uncomfortable as some of you might very well know but anyway getting away from this run-on sentence I wear the "No-Show" socks and most of the "No-Show" socks that I have worn are all very thin and I really hate that because then they wear out very quickly and you are left with uncomfortable socks and then you have to buy more very quickly but I suppose that that is just a business tool employed by some rich "business consultant" so that the company can earn more money because they really don't care about making the customer happy they just care about making more money and this point is proven by the fact that a lot of times you will go to get your change from a clerk at a store and right before he/she goes to get it he/she will sneeze or cough right into his/her hand and then will get your change all covered with their germs and it is really very nasty and they really shouldn't do it but oh, well, life will go on I suppose and this sentence is getting very very long but oh, well, I kinda like that because the proverbial "everyone" writes in nice little sentences and what if I would like to be different and not write in just nice little sentences I think that it is my right to write in one long sentence because this is my blog and I can do what I want to do.

I know it's kinda a roundabout way of saying it, but, I guess the whole point I'm tryin' to make here is...I...HATE...THIN SOCKS!!! That's all I'm really tryin' to say. Let me know what you think.

The other thing that I just plain don't like is makeup (is that one word {makeup} or two {make up [and if it is two words is it separated <make>or hyphenated <make-up>?]?). Now before all of you young ladies start wanting to stone me, let me speak my peace. Why do females (not trying to sound like a chauvinist but the word females encompasses all women - girls and ladies) always think that they have to wear makeup? I know that women are basically an eternal puzzle to men everywhere but the issue of makeup just blows my mind completely! I mean, it's not what's on the outside that even matters. It's really what's on the inside, what God looks at, that really counts. So why do females think that the world is going to come to an end if they don't have their makeup on? Ladies, please, please, try to help me understand!

Wow, this is the longest post that I've had in a while! How does everyone pronounce Caribbean? Do you say: Ca-ri-bbean, or: Cari-bbean? As in, do you change the Cari into one or two sylables? I have heard it both ways. One other thing, how do you pronounce Celtic? Like with an S, like Seltic? Or like with a K, like Keltic? I pronounce it like with a K and my brother pronounces it like with a S. Let me know what you think.

OK, now to my idea. What I want is for everyone to comment and tell me what you want to be or do. Like if you're still in high school, what do want to be/do after high school? Do you want to go to college first and get a degree and all that jazz, or do you want to jump into the work force right out of high school? Comment and let me know! I think that if this post gets 5 comments, then I'll tell what I want to be. (I don't usually tell unless I am asked directly)

Entry: As Promised, I Will Now Explain The Nature Of My Name

To Whom It May Concern (Primarily "Pipsqueak"),

The name Half-Pint started about 5 years ago. I was playing soccer and there was a boy on my team with the same real name as me. Well, this was when I was very short. Back then, the name Half-Pint actually fit. Anyway, as you can guess, there was much confusion whenever the coach would call out "Andrew!!!" Everyone (especially the other boy and me) would then in turn ask, "Which one, Big Andrew (the other boy) or Little Andrew (yours truly)?" So then, about a quarter of the way into the season, I was pretty fed up. I then remembered that a friend of mine had called me Half-Pint just on a whim. So i proceded to tell everyone to start calling me Half-Pint. But, sadly, over time the name has been cut down to simply Half.

Anywho, that is the story of how I obtained the name Half-Pint.

Later!

Andrew

Entry

Hey everybody!

How y'all doin'?

I need everyone to pray for me please, I've had a cold for about 4 weeks now and I am ready to get well.

Great News! Great news, everybody! My basketball team is in first place! I am having so much fun! See, the weird thing is, Luke told me that I needed to play more aggressively. My first game I got 0 fouls and 4 points and my second game I got 0 fouls and 11 points. And then, Luke told me to play more aggressively. So, the next game, I got 11 points again, and 4 fouls! Towards the end of the second half, coach and Luke kept yelling at me "DON'T FOUL!!! DON'T FOUL!!!" It was so funny!

And guess what else!!! Sorry. :-) Anyway, sorry that I haven't posted in a good while. I know that it's no excuse, but, I have been really busy. But like I said, that's no excuse.

Well, I think that this is goin' to be a fairly long post. So get you a coke and a sandwich, sit back, and relax.

First, (even though this is coming late) MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope everyone had a great one! I did. First, on the Wednesday before Christmas, my church had its annual Dirty Santa Party. It was SO much fun.

My family and I went to my mom's parents' house on Christmas Eve (my grandmother's birthday), and then to my aunt and uncle's house on Christmas Day.

Then we all went shopping on Monday. Then on Friday we went to some friends house for an early New Year's Eve party.

Then Saturday evening, we had our New Year's party at my church.

Then in the new year I had a busy first week. I had a 4-H meeting and went down to Auburn to do the voiceover for a ATV Safety PSA (Public Service Announcement, for those who may not know).

I also had my first basketball practice and game!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got 4 points in the game!!! And practice was a blast!

Then, Saturday evening, I got to play even MORE basketball.

Well, I guess this wasn't as long as I thought. Oh well. At least I posted finally. Later!!!

Half-Pint

Hey Everybody

Hi.

This is really weird because I haven't posted in about two or three months. Oh well. I'm posting now and that's all that matters.

In answer to your question, Denise, no Luke and I don't ever take a break. We don't have the luxury of things like "breaks" :) But it's all good.

I was so pumped Friday the 21st and Saturday the 22nd! On Friday, I got to go flying with Luke and Richard Meeks (a very cool guy). We stayed up about an hour and it was a blast!!!

Then, Saturday morning, Luke, Richard and I went and did a 3.1 mile race in Jasper. Overall, I got 5th, 6th, or 7th. I'm pretty sure I got 6th but I'm not sure. But also, the organizers divided everyone up into different age groups, 10 and under, 11-19, 20-something, and so on. Well, as you might know, I'm sixteen. So you can guess which age group I was in. And in my age group, I got SECOND!!! I finished the race in 21 minutes and 6 seconds! I thought my time was going to be about 30 minutes. But I sure am glad I was wrong!

Then, Saturday afternoon, Luke and I got to go to the house of our homeschool leader. And we got to play PAINTBALL for about 2 hours!!! Then we ate, played football, played Gestapo (a cool game, ask me how to play it if you would like to know), and then we went on a hayride and sang!

All in all a cool time.

Well, I guess that's about it.

Later!

Half-Pint

Entry: YAY!!!!!

Wow! Have I had fun since the last time I posted! I gotta make this quick so I'll hurry.

The highlight was one Saturday. Luke and I got to go and spend the whole day with our 4-H friends. First we talked for a little bit. And then I played a little soccer with a girl who used to play. And that was fun! Then we ate some pizza and talked some more! Then we went outside and Luke and some others went and rode 4-wheelers for about an hour and a half. But I got to do some SKEET SHOOTING!!! (In case you don't know what that is, it's when you take a clay pigeon {a small clay disk} and fling it through the air. While it's whizzing through the air you take a gun (A shotgun unless you are a trick/skill shooter) and shoot the disk. It is hard and at the same time, it's not hard. But it's very fun and very ADDICTIVE!!! I can't wait to do it again!

Then after that, I went paddle-boating (I think that's a word) with two of our camp friends. Then we went and played cards for a bit, and then Luke and I and two others went and rode 4-wheelers for about an hour! Then we came back and played horseshoes. Then we went and ate some bar-b-que at the Golden Corral. And then we came home.

I also had a week of soccer camp this summer which was great!

I gotta run now so I'll see y'all later!!!

Half-Pint
Wind-Racer

Entry: Who Cares?

Sup' guys!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but I've been busy.

I don't really have much to say, but I just thought that I would post on the old blog.

Since I'm kinda bored, I think I'll type up the words to this cool song that my aunt let me listen to.

It's called "Cartoons" by Chris Rice.

I was thinkin' the other day, what if cartoons got saved. I love it when people comment on my blog!

And in other news, don’t laugh at Half if you see him. (Speaking in third-person just for Keegan!) I was cutting grass at my guitar teacher’s house the other day and disaster struck. I was cutting in the backyard and there is absolutely NO SHADE in the backyard. But here is the main part: I have actually become brave enough (or is it stupid enough with what happened yesterday!!!) to cut grass without a shirt. Now, the 1st time that I did it, I put on sunscreen. But I forgot it that time. So now I LITERALY look like a lobster. At least on my back. And may I repeat: do not laugh at Half if you see him (there’s that third-person Keegan!).

Two other things that have happened to me are The Wildlife Competition and Regional 4-H Congress. In Wildlife, the team I was on, the Walker County team, got second in the senior division!!! Yahoo! Just ignore the fact that there were only 2 teams. And at Regional, I got second in informative public speaking! This time it was out of four contestants. But the good thing about second is that I get to compete at State Congress! I’ll let you know how that one goes as soon as I can.

Other than that, I don’t have much to say. So I shall say farewell.

Later!

Half-Pint, Little Monkey

P.S. While we were at wildlife, (and by we I mean Luke, Kyle, Keegan, and me) Kyle brought his Batman shirt that has a cape on the back. The only problem was that when he ran, his cape wouldn’t flap in the wind. So I went over and held his cape up and said, “Alright, GO!!!” And with that, he would take off. Once he took off, I let go and watched his cape flap in the wind. Well I told him, “Wow Kyle, now you have your loyal sidekick, Robin.” But then I thought that that wasn’t really fitting for a boy of my mental status. ;-) So I thought for a second, and then I said, “Wait a minute Kyle! Instead of Robin: The Boy Wonder, I can be Half-Pint: The Boy Retard!!! I thought that up out of my head without anybody’s help! I was so proud of my self!

Two other things that I forgot about Wildlife, on the 1st evening, we went bowling. And in the 1st game, I did terribly. But in the second game, I got 140! And I’m pretty sure that that’s higher than I have ever gotten before! So that made my night. The other thing is that on the second night, a lady came and did a little program about spiders and scorpions. It was mostly about spiders though. But afterwards, I got dad to take a picture of me with her. And I asked her if she could hold the tarantula that she brought. She said that she could! So she is holding this tarantula that was a little larger than the palm of my hand! Dad took one picture. Then he asks the lady, “Can he hold the spider?” (The ‘he’ being me!) She said yes. Well, I said, “I’ll do this”. I put my hand just under one of the tarantula’s legs that was hanging off of the lady’s hand. Well then she hauls off and pushes the spider almost all the way onto my hand!!!!! So then I’m saying, “Spider, MOVE BACK!!! MOVE BACK! BACK UP YOU STUPID ARACHNID!!!” Needless to say, my commands did no good. So dad finally snaps the picture and the spider lady finally pulls the tarantula back. So that was my big scare for the week!

Later!

P.P.S. I know that it’s a little late to be saying this, but, HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY EVERYBODY!!!

Entry Fun Summer

Hello everyone!

Well, I hope that y’all are ready cause I got a lot to talk about!

First, 2 weeks ago, Luke and I went to the Alabama 4-H Center to be CITs (Counselors In Training). Hehehe…we got a big fancy name for (Da-da-da-daaaa!) slave labor. We pretty much did everything that the counselors couldn’t or didn’t want to do. But it was still an awesome week!!! I had a lot of fun. One of the main events was the relay games on the Rec. Field! This was where the counselors and CITs got revenge on the kids. See, here’s how it would work. The 1st kid would run up to this beg bucket filled with water. The kid would fill his cup with water and then run to the back of the line. This is the 1st time where I got to splash kids. Kid bends over to fill his cup. I promptly splash water in his face from the big bucket. Then the kid (now at the back of the line) would pass the cup under the next kid’s legs and then that kid would pass it over the next kid’s head and so on and so forth. Once it got back to the head of the line, a new kid would run up and dump the water in the cup into a small bucket. Then the new kid would fill his cup again and start the process all over again. So as you can see, I got to splash the kids whenever they came to the bucket. But after about 2 turns, the kids got smart. When I splashed them, they would turn around and throw their cup of water on me. So then I got smarter! I got another small bucket and got some water in it. Then when the kids went to fill their cups, I would dump it on them. But I had still underestimated these kids. They knew that I was still in range so they would throw their cups of water on me still. Then I got really smart! I would fill my bucket with water, and just stand back. Not do anything. Then, once the kids started to run back to the line, I would jump after them and throw my water at them! :-) And to think that some people think that camp isn’t an educational experience! I learned something!

The other highlight of the camp was Campfire! Even though ours got rained out and we had to hold it in the Rec. Building (without the fire, of course). At campfire, there were different skits and songs that the counselors did. And I got to be in one of the “skits”. This one wasn’t really a skit, but a contest. Another one of the CITs stood behind me with a bowl of NASTY pudding in her hand and a spoon in the other. She was blindfolded and was supposed to feed me the pudding. Well other than the fact that that pudding was nasty and some spilled on one of my good shirts (waaaaaa!), it went okay. My team didn’t win though.

So that was what I did the first week. Then Luke and I went to WASHINGTON D.C. baby!!! It was such a cool week! I don’t remember the order, but we got to see Alabama’s Senator Jeff Sessions, and Alabama Congressman Mike Rogers (or maybe it’s Rodgers, I’m not sure). We got to see the WWII, Korean, Vietnam, and Lincoln memorials. We probably got to see other ones but I can’t remember. We got to see the Capitol Steps, a group that makes fun of current political happenings. They were so hilarious! We also got to go to Capitol Hill and sit in on a session of the Senate. We also got to go to the Washington National Cathedral! That was awesome. We went to Mt. Vernon and Arlington National Cemetery, too. And we went to the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Island. Oh, we also got to see the F.D.R. memorial. And we had a chance to see the Jefferson Memorial but there was a bad thunderstorm that night, so we couldn’t see it. We got to see how a bill is made in a, duh, bill-writing workshop. Then, all of the bills went through a mock session of the House and the Senate. And the bill that my team wrote passed both House and Senate! That’s about all I can say about Washington. Oh, we also got to go to the National Air Space Smithsonian. That was so cool!!! And on our “Cultural Heritage Evening” we went to Baltimore and ate seafood and went shopping and saw the Hard Rock Café of Baltimore and saw ESPNZONE. Of course Luke flipped. He’s standing there going “Look! It’s…(gasp)…ESPN…(gasp)…ZONE!!” And I’m just standing there going, “Huh. Wow. So what else is new?” I was more interested in the band outside Hard Rock Café! They were so cool! (But they didn’t have ANYTHING on the Mullygrubs!) And before our cultural heritage evening, there was a CWF talent show! And I acted out the song Numa Numa. And if you don’t know what I’m talking about, ask me later. We also went to eat and shop in old town Alexandria (on another night). So Washington D.C. was cool!

Then the next week, we got to go back to 4-H Camp. And this week was (as hard as it is to imagine) better than the 1st week at camp!!! And this time we got to stay from Monday to Friday. The reason this week was so cool was that we already knew everyone so we could be friends with the other counselors and CITs instead of just making friends with them. (As weird as that sounds!) And at Campfire on Thursday, I got to participate in a skit and that contest again! First I’ll tell you about the contest! Luke was behind me, feeding me the pudding and, duh I was eating it. Well, I remembered from last time that I didn’t “get into it”. That was about to change! I tried to tell Luke to just get rid of the spoon, but hi couldn’t hear me. But when Head Counselor Reggie said go, I went! I stuck my face in that pudding and slurped for all I was worth! And you know what? Even though I spilt some on my shirt again, we won!!! Just thought that you might like to know that. Then we got to help in the skit, Making Gravy. Luke and another girl were the chefs, two other girls were the doctors, and Jesse and I were the tasters. By the way, this was an all CIT personnel skit. The only counselor in it was Reggie and he was the director. It starts out where Luke is stirring the gravy. Jesse and I come in, and ask to try some. Luke gives us some. We die. Luke calls for help, and the doctor comes. She uses the shock thing where they rub the pads together, yell clear and shock the living daylights out of you. Well the 1st time, nobody knows there lines, the 2nd, everyone is crying with emotion, the 3rd, everything is chipmunk sound because it’s so fast, and the 4th time, everything is super slow. Well to make a long story not-so-short, it is hilarious. And at the end, something that we (the CITs) didn’t know about, when Reggie lined us up to tell us that we were fired, the other counselors dumped buckets of water on us. But it was still fun. And on Friday at the closing, Luke, Jesse, and I got to sing this song Linger. It was just the song that we always sang at the end of camp. So that was cool.

That’s about all that I have to say about my summer, so I shall blog again soon! (I told you this was going to be a long post!)

Later

Half-Pint, Chicken Catcher

P.S. I’ve done it!!! I’ve finally found (literaly) my life's story (in a song). Here it is (as inspired by Joe’s Blog):

I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever new;font-size:130%;color:#3333ff;">
I got a chance to post again. Thanks Allie for commenting about the post name! I had a great time at graduation too!

One other thing, on the Friday after Luke's graduation,my soccer team, The Spartans, played in the Championship Game for the 1st West Jefferson Soccer Cup. And my team WON!!!!!! That means that we are the 1st West Jefferson Cup Winners!!! The game was a doozie too. After we lost our first game in regulation time, my team went to five shoot-outs and won 3 of them. Or maybe it was 6 shoot-outs and we won 4 of them. And after that, we won all of the rest of our games in regulation time until the Championship Game. We went to a shoot-out with the score 0-0. Keegan, a boy named Tyler, and I scored for our team. A boy named Chase scored for the Storm. And what made it a cool shoot-out, was that I know it was Keegan's 1st time to score in one, and I think that it was Tyler's first time to score in one! And this season was also Tyler's first one to play in our age group, 13-18 year old's. And we had another boy, Logan, playing for our team. And he isn't even actually in our age group! But he played excellently!

I reckon that I'll need to sign of now. I have to go somewhere tonight (and I don't even know where I'm going!)

I'll talk to y'all next time I blog!

Later!

Half-Pint, Barrel-Rider

P.S. If anyone out there can help me, I sure would appreciate it. I have a mystery that I'm trying to solve. During the course of the soccer season (about 2 months) I gained about 5 pounds! Explain that! If you have any stunning revelations, I sure would like to here them! Thanks!

Bad News (Along with many thanks!)

Hey everyone. 1st and foremost, whoever anonymous is, do not comment on this blog again if you are going to use curse words like what you used. This is a G-rated blog and I want to keep it that way.

Now, I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you to everyone who made my victory over Luke possible. And that's enough for the sappy thank-you's. It was kind of cool "beating" Luke. :-)

In other news, this is probably going to be my last time to blog. Not forever, just until probably the middle of July. I will post sooner if I get a chance, but I probably won't.

One other thing that I wanted to say is that I HAVE SEEN STAR WARS: EPISODE III:
REVENGE OF THE SITH!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is such a cool movie!!! I have actually seen it twice, once with some friends from church, and once with some friends from soccer. And I have found my favorite characters: Yoda (very cool guy!), Obi-Wan-Kenobi (another cool guy!), and General Greivous or Grievous {I'm not sure on the spelling} (a cool lightsaber wielder, even if he is a bad guy). The two others that I like (But aren't really favorites) are Mace Windu and Kit Fisto.

That's about all I wanted to say, so I'll see ya in July!

Bye!

Half-Pint, The Wind Racer

P.S. Sorry about the two last posts. I accidentaly hit the enter key. Anyway, this is great! 8 comments! Even though that doesn't come close to beating Luke's 21 or 23 (whichever is is) that must be some kind of record. At least for me! But in other news I don't really have that much to say. One cool thing is that my soccer team is in 1st PLACE baby! For the playoffs that is. I don't know what the outcome will be for those games. But during the regular season, I scored one goal, Keegan scored 2, and Luke scored 3. So that has been the highlight of my week. I reckon that is about all that I have to say, so I'll bid you all a hearty farewell and bid you to visit my blog again!

Later!

Half-Pint, Wind-Racer

P.S. I have got some outrageous news! At least, it's outrageous for me. I was looking at my brother's blog (With his fancy-schmancy 21 comments!) and I saw that a great guy that i met at soccer, Matt, actually said that Luke and I, the Amish Homeschoolers, were cool!!! I couldn't believe it! Someone actually said that we were cool! I mean, I have a hard enough time getting people to notice that i exist! I had never dreamed that someone would say that my brother and i were cool! Now, i could understand someone saying that about Luke. He's awesome. He can play soccer, guitar, video games, paintball (and never get hit!), and a lot of other things. But I never expected anyone to say that about me. I guess you can tell that that made my day, week, month, year, life! And i forgot to mention one other thing. Last week, Luke and I saw National Treasure!!! That is one heck of a GOOD MOVIE! And I also saw the cartoon mini-series, STAR WARS: Clone Wars! That was great too. Well, i guess that is about all that I have to say, so I'll see all of y'all later!

Half-Pint

Harde-har-har

Howdy everyone. I thought I would speak my mind a little. First I guess I could tell you about my week. Last Monday I had zoology class and chior practice. I can't remember what I did Tuesday, and on Wednesday I got to do schoolwork and then cut grass. I also did schoolwork on Monday and Tuesday. Thursday I went with my family to the Walker County 4-H Awards Banquet where my brother Luke was the guest speaker. On Friday I had a guitar lesson and then I had a soccer game that evening. My team, the Spartans, won 2-0. And my good buddy Keegan scored the first goal of his soccer career and I scored my first regulation goal of the season. It was also our first win without going to a shoot-out, of which we had had five in a row previously! Then on Saturday, I got to go down to soccer for half of the day and played another game. My team won that one as well, 3-1. Keegan scored one goal and Luke scored 2! Then I went to the performance that the choir (or maybe it's spelled chior, I don't know!) I'm in was presenting. I got to both sing and play the guitar. Then I went to CiCi's Pizza with half of the chior (or choir). Then on Sunday (Mother's Day), I went to church and then to my grandparents' house for the rest of the afternoon. Then today I went to zoology class and then went to soccer because Luke had to ref. a game. And now I am here blogging and listening to the totally cool NumaNuma song! Oh, and i also got to play (yay) basketball for about 30-45 (excruciating) minutes. Not to be offensive to the creator of basketball, but, whoever you are, you need to be drug into the street and shot! I mean, even baseball is better than basketball! And just to pour salt into the wound, I did something to my ankle while I was playing! Just another reason to hate basketball. But I got to spend some time with my friends so that almost made the basketball part okay. Other than that, I don't have that much to say. So I'll just say farewell and I'll see y'all later!

Half-Pint

YeHaw!!!

Wow! What a week! Or should I say past few weeks! I have been seiriously busy and have been having some serious fun. (I think that was an oximoron) I have been to two birthday parties (Happy birthday Kristian and Luke!!!), played a few soccer games, refered a few soccer games, and been in a color guard half-time show! Other than that, my week has been pretty normal. And for me that means totaly out of control! But I must go so I shall blog again soon!

Later!

Half-Pint

Ya-hoo!!!

Whoa! Sorry, but I don't know what just happened. I was just about to post and when I started to type, it suddenly said that my post had published succesfully! Weird. Anyway, I have got a lot of stuff to talk about. First, Allison, what do you mean "maybe this will get me off of the 'Half is mad at me' list?" Lol. I'm not mad at anybody. Sorry if it seemed that way. Second, I have had three GREAT soccer happenings during the last few weeks. Number one, my brother, dad, and I got to go with some friends to see the U.S. National Men's soccer team play Guatemala (I hope that I'm spelling that right) for a World Cup qualifying position or place or whatever they call it. But it was so cool! The U.S. of A. won 2-0 though it should have been 3-0 but the ref made a bad call saying that U.S.'s Landon Donovan was offsides. After that, I got to play in two soccer game for the WJYS Soccer League. My team, the Fighting Spartans, lost the first one though. But we won the second in a shoot-out! And we play again this Saturday. So those are my three soccer experiences of the past few weeks. Probably boring (as is everything else about this blog) to anyone who happens to read this blog other than me. But oh well. I have zoology class tomorrow and choir practice as well. Last week's zoology class was interesting! My feet got stepped on by a crazed donkey, I almost got stuck in about 4 or 5 inches of mud, and I almost got bitten by a horse twice! Maybe tomorrow will be calmer. But then again, if you know me, that is asking for WAY too much! I reckon that's about all that I've got to say! (And I will be very angry if you {the reader} start cheering right now) Later!

Half-Pint - 'De Little One

Ya-hoo!!!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so happy! I'm finally the big one-six!!! Sixteen! And my birthday came on Easter Sunday, too! The only strange thing is that I feel no different than when I was fifteen. Anyway, I thought that that was pretty cool and all. I guess I'm the only one who would think that though. Besides all of that, I can't talk for very long. I have to go and get ready for my 1st game of soccer tomorrow! It is going to be SO COOL! I haven't played a soccer game in I don't know how long until last Saturday when the Youth Council played the old folks. And that was fun. But I get to play a regular season game tomorrow! :-) Hehehaha!!! (If you don't already know, that is where my weird monkey-laugh comes in) I have to go now but i shall blog again soon! Sorry that I haven't posted in a while! I have been busy and haven't made the time for blogging! Anyway, I don't have all that much to say this time around. But of course you know that if I say that, then it's going to be a looooooooooong post! Maybe not! On Monday I got to go to zoology class! I got to ride Ginger the horse and Clem the two-hump camel! And it was so cool! Then the soccer draft was that night and I found out who was on my team! Not much happened after that until Thursday. Then my team had its first practice! We also practiced Friday and Saturday (tonight!) night. I love soccer practice. It's another chance to play soccer (the coolest sport ever!!!) with my friends. After that I came home to blog some! Well, I reckon that's 'bout all I got ta say ta y'all. ( I'm a country boy and I'm proud of it!) I think (that's a disaster waiting to happen!) that I have to go now. This Monday, I got to go to zoology class (Yay!!!). But there was one bad thing. When I got there, I was walking to the barn and one of the kids whose mom owns the place came to me with some chicken eggs that she had saved so that I could try to get MY chickens to set on them and hatch them. Well, I didn't have any money on me to pay her with, so I had to go back to the car to get some. So, eggs in hand, I turned around on some VERY VERY VERY slippery boards, and spun and fell to my knees. With my mom, that girl, and about fifty chickens and some turkeys watching. I didn't break any of the eggs, but, when I went down, my mom and the girl were standing there trying to not laugh, and all of the chickens and the turkeys busted out cawing and cackling! So, not only did I have to people (my MOM as one of them, mind you) laughing at me, I had chickens laughing at me! CHICKENS!!! Now isn't that something that only I could do?!? Huh? But the fun and games didn't stop there! That night, my brother, dad, and a friend worked on removing the wax from the basement floor of our church. Well, it turned out that the wax remover was VERY slippery! At one point, I was rounding the corner about to go into the fellowship hall, and I stepped right into a big ol' puddle of wax remover! My right hip and pants will NEVER be the same! I slid, spun, had my legs shot out from beneath me, and slammed down on the floor! What pride that I thought I had before is GONE NOW!!! So I think that I will stop blogging now before y'all find out about all of my embarrassing moments!!

Later!

Half-Pint

Soccer!!!

Howdy everybody!!! Guess what! The 2005 West Jefferson Spring Soccer Season is almost here!!! And the new field is GREAT!!! My dad and I went down to the field when there were the first thoughts about moving. Since we weren't officially West Jefferson Soccer yet, my dad and I couldn't walk on the field though. And it is a great field. Big too. I can't wait to run around with a soccer ball on it! But there is some bad news. There aren't as many weeks of sign-up as there usually are, so if you aren't signed up yet you need to get over there and sign up!

Well, I reckon that's about all that I've got to say, so, good-bye!

Half-Pint

P.S. I have been BUSY! This weekend, I went to a leadership retreat with the 4-H program which was awesome! I got to go to some woekshops, do a climbing wall, get stuck in a tire on the low ropes course, and a lot of other things. Yes, I really did get stuck in a tire. I was trying to climb through about 7 tires that were suspended by ropes. I got through about 4 of them and got stuck on number 5. So I had to back out of all of the tires that I had gone through so far. But it was still fun! I even got to see Shrek 2! (Again!) But after that, I got to go to zoology class on Monday! This time, I got to have my picture taken while I was sitting on a llama! And after that, I got to have my picture taken with a Jersy cow, a horse, and I think a Scottish Highland. And I have been doing other things before the leadership retreat and between that and zoology class. I reckon that's about all that I have to say. I just needed to share all of my "experiences" with someone. And that would pretty much be all of you who are gracious enough to read this poor excuse for a blog! News!!!

Howdy everyone! Sorry I haven't written in a while. I have been BUSY! But anywho, back to my news! I got to go to zoology class yesterday! First, I had the "privilege" cleaning tack for a while. Some kids chose to clean bridles and reins, but not me. I had to be an idiot and choose to clean TWO saddles! One was a kid's saddle but the other one was a full size saddle and it was filthy! After that, I, once again, had the "privilege" of cleaning out a stall where a horse had been the previous night. Yay. *_* Fun, fun, fun! Then, I got to see a three-legged chicken!!! Yet another example of how pathetic my "life" is. My highlight of the week was getting to see a three-legged chicken. (Just another (pathetic) day in the (pitiful attempt at a) life of The Half-Man!) But after that, came the best part, (Uh-oh. Not another "half" of a great experience! [Get it? "Half," my name Half-Pint? Haha? Maybe? Perhaps a pity laugh? Ok, I'll stop now]) everyone got to pick their favorite animal on the farm since it was Valentine's day. Once you knew your animal, you could have your picture taken with you beside it. So everyone else picked their animal right away. I however, didn't know all of the different animals so I was at a disadvantage. But it turned out okay because as the group was walking around, the teacher told me some of the different animals that there were. So I picked the water buffalo!!! So then, I went up the hill with the teacher and one of her daughters, and we found the water buffalo. And I actually got to go up and PET IT!!!!!! I thought after that, that I was just going to stand beside it and have my picture taken. But no! I actually got to SIT ON THE BACK OF THE WATER BUFFALO!!!!!!! Then, since there were two buffalos, I got to sit on the other one's head!!! That was soooooooo COOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!! But I had to leave right after that. But that was ok, because I got to sit on the back of a WATER BUFFALO!!! (I guess you can kinda tell that I'm sorta psyched about this!!!) So that was my good news. And that time has come again. I must leave you now. But please don't start cheering!! PLEASE!!! I just can't take this kind of rejection! (Quote from Rex in "Toy Story 1") But I shall blog again soon (Hopefully)! Farewell!

Half-Pint

P.S. Please pray for me tomorrow! I have to compete in another speech competition!

P.P.S. Keep praying for the sickness in my family to go away!

P.P.P.S. Sorry I haven't posted in a while! I've had a busy attempt at life. I mean, my highlight of the week was getting to watch old soccer tapes of my brother and me. How pathetic is that!!! But anyway, I had school pictures this week! There is only one problem. I look worse in pictures than I do in real life! I mean, my mom has to tie a piece of meat to my neck to keep my dogs from running away when they see me! I have to sneak up on a glass of water just to get a drink from it! That is sad :-( But that's my lot in life. (Yes, it's coming!) It's not a lot, but it's a life. (Hey, I warned you!) But aside from being chased out of the picture building, I've had a hectic week. It's funny how I can have a hectic week, when I don't even have a life! But this weekend was fun! I went to a seminar Friday night and all day Saturday. It was about what to do after ______. (High school, college, etc.) It was very interesting. I learned that my personality color is grellow or yeen, whichever you prefer (An exact tie in "scores" between yellow and green!). I am a fun-loving server whose motto is "Trust me, it'll be alright" and my life goal is peace. Not peace as in peace and quiet, peace as in stop fighting people! I also learned that my spiritual gift is that I am an exhorting server. (Once again, an exact tie between "scores") I also got to sing two special songs: one with my dad, mom, and brother, and the other with a bunch of other kids around my age and younger. I almost got to sing three songs, but they said that I would scare everyone away because of my looks. No, we didn't have enough time to practice it. Although, I haven't ruled out the 1st possibility! But guess what. It's that time again. You've wasted another perfectly good five or ten minutes reading this blog made by me, the Lord of All Things Good and Ugly, Pitiful, Pathetic, or Otherwise Useless in Normal People's Lives (Which I also lack!) But thank you for putting little ol' me into some small part of your day.

Later!

Half-Pint

P.S. Please continue to pray for the sickness in my family to go AWAY!!! And just pray for my family in general. Thanks!

P.P.S. My pitiful excuse for an attempt at a life has been pretty hectic lately! I went to a friend's birthday party, and that was fun despite the fact that I got called "Bubble-boy"! (Thanks Hannah for inviting us! {Luke and me!})

Anyway, after that, I got to go to a superbowl party which was great! There were animals, good friends, GOOD food, oh, yeah, and the superbowl. I'm not much of a fan of watching sports, only playing them! (Except for basketball which is a terrible game to play and watch!)

After that, I got to go to my ZOOLOGY CLASS AGAIN!!!!!! Only this time, we didn't get to ride horses. This time, we got to trim goats' feet, cut the hair around their tails, give them their medicine (for worms, I think), and watch an "operation" take place. I'll save you the details on that one!!!

Then that afternoon, I got to go and say my speech at the county contest for 4-H. (Thanks for all of your prayers, they helped!) I got 1st place in the senior informative category. Wow. A speech is the highlight of my pathetic life. Yay. But at least I get to go to the district competition. Only now, I'm memorizing another speech for this coming Wednesday. Not tomorrow, but a week from tomorrow.

Oh, and etiquette class got canceled last week and is re-scheduled for this week.

WARNING: THE AUTHOR OF THIS BLOG IS ABOUT TO MAKE A VERY VERY LOUD NOISE (BUT NOT LIKE THE ONE HE MADE IN THIS PAST SOCCER SEASON!) OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!

I had to go to the orthodontist today and my mouth HURTS!!! But complaining won't do me any good, so why do it?

And now for your almost regular LOTR update if you really want to hear it. I am finished with The Fellowship Of The Ring and have started The Two Towers! I am really learning a lot of new stuff by doing this! If any of you people out there who are willing to read this pathetic excuse for a blog, I would definitely recommend reading these books, especially if you have already seen the movie. Although I commend Peter Jackson for taking on such a HUGE task, he really changed a lot of things that needed to be left the way they were in the book! But the movies are still great to watch!

And now, that time has come once again! It is time for me to go out and try to piece together some kind of a life. Farewell!

P.S. Please keep praying for my family about the sickness thing and for me and my brother Luke a week from tomorrow at our speeches!

Lahf-Nipt (See if ya can figure that one out!)

HELLO BLOGGERS-OF-AMERICA!!!

Sup 'erbody? Not much goin' on here. I went to my 4-H meeting today (Awsome). But on the way I found out that etiquitte class was cancled (YAY!!! I mean, oh shucks). But 4-H was still fun. And this brings us (or really me) closer to the day that I might get to ride horses! And that great and wonderful day is Monday! It's one of the most exhilirating (sorry, I'm not sure how to spell that!) experiences of a kid's (mine) life. I think that I will sign off now, as much as it will break your heart. Oh, one other thing. I just found out today (even though I have liked it for a long time, I realized my love of it today) that I LOVE it when a song has a key (no, not for a door!) change!!! As weird as it sounds, I love it when a song does that! Just another tidbit of Half-Pint trivia. One of those things that will save your life someday! (Not really, but I just like to think that!) Anyway, I gotta go! I'm afraid that I don't have much to say tonight. I was kinda bored this afternoon and wanted to post then but my brother was on his blog, and then we went to church. But that's okay, because I get to post now! I do have a correction, though. In my last post, I asked you bloggers to pray for me tomorrow because I thought that I was going to be in a competition against my brother and possibly other people. But I stand, or really I sit, corrected. I don't have to compete tomorrow, but I will have to nonetheless. So I still ask you to pray for me about that competition and on Monday. I know that I will be competing that night after I go to my zoology class early in the afternoon!!! And I think that I mentioned it in an earlier post but I LOVE MY ZOOLOGY CLASS!!!!! And now, dear friends, it is time. No, not like in "The Lion King" with the crazy baboon. It is time for me to say good-bye. I know that it is breaking your heart, but, all good (and insane) things must come to an end. So this is the end. But only of this post!

See Ya!

Half-Pint

P.S. PLEASE pray for my family! Sickness has struck again!

P.P.S. If you read this blog, please comment. If you like it, say so. If you don't like it, still say so. And if you don't, please tell me why. Let me know what you would like for me to start doing or to stop doing. This is a blog that was created not by the people, not of the people, but FOR the people! So tell me what ya think!

Bad Tidings of Not-So-Great-News

Da-da-da-daaaaaaaa! (That's good-guy superhero music!) I'm back! Do not be frightend, it is only little (Ha!), ol' (Double ha!), harmeless (Yeah, right!), me! Guess what. I went to a basketball game tonight! The Corner Yellow Jackets versus the Walker Vikings. And me going is surprising since I hate watching basketball. And playing it is almost as bad! But I had a good time with my brother, my dad, and two other friends. The only problem was that Corner lost. In JV boys, varsity girls, and varsity boys. Bummer. And it was the last game of the season, so. I'm kinda sad, but not really. Anyways, as I told you in a previous post, I am going to have a great rest of the week. And did I mention that I got to ride a horse Monday? I think I did. But I guess I just said it again! I'm afraid that I don't have much to say tonight. I do have one request of all you bloggers though. I would like for everyone who reads this here blog to pray for me this Thursday. (2/03/05) I will be competing in the dairy poster competition at my 4-H club. The only person that I know I will be competing with is my brother, Luke. And I ask you to pray for him too. And also, the next Monday (I think) we will be giving speeches for 4-H. This time, though, we won't be competing against each other. So other than that, I don't have much so say (Wow! That's a first!) I reckon that if I don't have anythin' else to say, I reckon I'm done, I reckon, I reckon! (I do a lot of reckoning!) I shall post later! Farewell! Good-bye! Adios! Aruv-wa (or however you say that!)! Chow! Adu! (or however you say that one too) See Ya! Later! So Long!(I hate long good-bye's don't you?) I'll shut-up now, and NO, YOU (the reader of this post) ARE NOT FREE TO CHEER NOW!!!!!!!

Bye!

tniP-flaH

Good News (at least for me!)!

HOWDY EVERYONE!!! What's hapnin'? Well, since you can't say much right at the moment, I'll tell you what I've been up to. I've had a blast since I communicated last. I got to go to church, spend time with my friends, sing in a choir, go to an etiquette class (Hot dog) and, best of all, go to a zoology course I am taking and RIDE A HORSE!!! Which is one of the greatest experiences of this world, other than playing soccer or paintball. Even though I only got to ride one lap around the arena it was still a BLAST! Just gettin' out there, your hair flapping in the breeze (not a hard task for me if you've ever seen my hair!), your jacket swinging like a superhero's cape, the creak of the leather on the saddle, the neighing of the horse, etc. (Am I rambling again? I've got to stop that) If you haven't already guessed, I like riding horses! But other than that I also wached Shrek 2! And then this week, I get to go to a basketball game, a friend's b'day party, and a superbowl party! Crikey! What a week! (For all you Crocodile Hunter fans out there!) I think (a hard task for me!) that I'm gonna have to go. By the way, I also get to go to a 4-H club meeting this week followed by, you guessed it (I guess), Etiquette Class Part 2 (Yay)! But other than that, I don't think (That's a whole lot easier) that I'm doin' much else, other than school. So I'll see all you bloggers later!
Bye!

Half-Pint

Ya-hoo

CONGRATULATIONS!!! And thank you mullygrub for saying that this here blog (oops) holds your attention! I'm suprised it holds mine too! Furthermore, I'm on to you Joe! You watch those sissy, uncool comments! Hahahahahahahaha :-) I think I'm rambling again. I guess that is one of the things that comes with being me! (That's a scary thought!) And now, I must take on the role of the bearer of bad news. I have to go. (WAAAAAAAAA!!!) But I shall return!!! (I do a lot of exclamation points on this blog, don't I?!?) Farewell! It is I, Half-Pint, Lord of the Blogs! Just back from my noble crusade to the planet Pluto (with my faithfull dog of the same name!). Guess what!?! No, you have to guess! Ok, I'll tell you. I'm almost through with the book The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring!!! Now this may not seem like good news to you but it is GREAT news to me! I guess you can tell that I'm happy! But anyway, it is a really cool book. And just the fact that it is a book makes it even more special.
