Entry: Hey, I've Got An Idea!

Hey everybody!!!

Before I explain the meaning of this post's title, I have a question. How does everyone pronounce Caribbean? Do you say: Ca-ri-bbean, or: Cari-bbean? As in, do you change the Cari into one or two sylables? I have heard it both ways. One other thing, how do you pronounce Celtic? Like with an S, like Seltic? Or like with a K, like Keltic? I pronounce it like with a K and my brother pronounces it like with a S. Let me know what you think.

OK, now to my idea. What I want is for everyone to comment and tell me what you want to be or do. Like if you're still in high school, what do want to be/do after high school? Do you want to go to college first and get a degree and all that jazz, or do you want to jump into the work force right out of high school? Comment and let me know! I think that if this post gets 5 comments, then I'll tell what I want to be. (I don't usually tell unless I am asked directly)

I pronounce Caribbean like "Ca-ri-bbean", and Celtic like "Keltic".

My plan (and this has changed a few times, so it might very well change before I graduate), is to study to be an RN, then after that see where I am in life to decide if I go further.

I pronounce Caribbean both ways...it depends on how I am feeling that day.

Celtic with a "K."

I am planning on majoring in Interior Design at the University of Auburn. I am so excited (and a little nervous) about starting college! I really can't wait!

I have a question...how come no one says University of Auburn? They all say Auburn University. Why? Who started that?

OK, Rachel, now you can't say how you pronounce caribbean and celtic (which you're wrong about the pronunciation of,:-) lol) and not say what you want to be/do. Ya killin' me!

And way to go gracie and eugene! You pronounce celtic the right way. I said that "K"eltic is the right way so it is. Just because I said so. So there. And I'm rambling aren't I?

Other than that, I suppose that I should keep my word and tell what I want to be/do. I intent to attend Wallace State Community College, play soccer for the college, and become a writer and some form of paramedic. I would really really really like to be a paramedic for a firestation, but I don't know if you can do that without being a firefighter and I don't really want to do that.

By the way, eugene, i think that the reason people say "Auburn Univeristy" instead of "University of Auburn" is because it is shorter and it flows off of the toungue more smoothly, although "University of Auburn" is still pretty cool. "Alabama University" just doesn't sound right but "University of Alabama" does. You see, that is yet another reason that you should go to Auburn, the name sound right no matter how you say it! :-)

Yeah whatever, it's a matter of oppinion how you pronounce things! But after giving it some thought and saying it over and over it does sound right keltic. BUT anyways, I remembered that I was supposed to put what I wanted to be after I commented, and I didn't want to comment 3 times in a row. I'm not really sure what I want to do when I grow up... I'm giving it hard thought, but I just can't really figure it out.

Oh, rachel, you did not just imply that because I said that "K"eltic was the right way to say it, I was wrong! Oh, man, we gonna have some talking down now! If you weren't a girl.

And I don't really give a care about how many times you comment in a row! Heck, I'm glad you're commenting!
